Cutting a circle with a jig saw

cutting hole in plywood

An alternative to using an adjustable
circle cutter
is to make a mounting hole with a jig saw.

Draw a 4 and 3/8’s inch
circle on a piece of plywood, drill a hole near the side without going
outside the circle. Insert jig saw blade and cut along the line.

Jig saw blades are designed
to flex without breaking and it can take some practice to learn how to
stay on the line. I had my jig saw set on its highest speed for the
above Avian
Aqua Miser
mount.
